Position Description
Experienced software application developer able to work with small team in deadline intensive environment to produce rich, dynamic web applications for high profile website. Applications and services must be robust and need to scale to support very high traffic.

Background Information
Candidate to support internal site that manages CNN owned footage and material. In addition, may support various CNN spring initiatives.

Qualifications (background, education, experience, and other requirements)
Skills:
- Java
- Stripes
- Struts/Spring
- Javascript/AJAX
- HTML/CSS
- SQL
- Hibernate

Nice to have:
- Python
- Django
- Java Swing

Interpersonal/Team Skills: Good communication skills. Work closely with a small team. Work closely with customer.

Experience: 2 years and up.

Other: Much of the work will be using Stripes MVC framework. Ideal candidate has experience with this framework; otherwise, must have interested in learning this framework. Candidate should be experienced with web application development and have a good understanding of UI and usability principles.
