| Deliverables Requested | Firewall configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance (including upgrades, patches, signature updates, etc.). Minor scripting (bash/perl/etc) as required. Firewall connection log analysis. Analyze security threats and vulnerabilities and take action as necessary. Participate in firewall request review committee. Periodic on-call responsibility. Access Control List optimization. |

| Skills Required | Experience with Cisco PIX, ASA, and FWSM firewalls. Expert knowledge of TCP/IP networks. Must have experience modifying firewall rule sets, studying network traffic flows to reverse-engineer the required firewall rules to lock down an application, and troubleshooting firewall problems in an enterprise environment. |
| Experience Required | CCNA, CCSP and/or 5+ years experience in network engineering or security. |
| Optional Skills | IDS/IPS/WIPS experience a plus. Juniper SSL VPN experience a plus. Routing, LAN/WAN experience a plus. |
