ETL developer

Job Description:

The ETL developer is responsible for developing Informatica workflows and mappings according to the needs of the project.

4+ Months @ Atlanta

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop/Maintain existing Informatica mappings and workflows.

· Optimize and troubleshoot Inforrmatica mappings and workflows

· Perform and document unit tests for applications.

· Be able to create mappings and workflows from data models and design sessions with the data architect and other team members

· Should be able to resolve most technical issues with minimum help from other members of team

· Provide the second / third level support function, ETL incident/Event management.

· Work with the team to ensure the quality of coordinated business functions.

· Respond quickly and effectively to production issues and taking responsibility for seeing those issues thru resolution.

Qualifications:

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH “PUSH DOWN” OPTIMIZATION

· At least 4 years experience in Data Warehousing

· At least 4 years of experience with Informatica, including v8

· At least 4 years of experience using UNIX/LINUX and UNIX Scripting in Korn Shell

· At least 4 years of experience on one or more of the following databases: Oracle, Tereadata, or Netezza

· At least 4 years of experience writing SQL performance tuning using Explain Plan

· Experience with loading third normal form and dimensional designs

· Experience tuning database/ETL applications and SQL, including push down optimization techniques

· Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience

· Prior experience and functional knowledge about the Web Advertising industries and providing solution in Web industry based BI solutions

· Positive and constructive minded

· Solid Team player, Good interpersonal skills

· Ability to create deliver meaningful and concise artifacts, Good writing skills

· Ability to translate and clearly formulate technical issues

Note:

  • these people need to have excellent communication skills. prefer greencards and EAD's, but will consider H1B's if they are very strong (and have good communication!)
  • NETEZZA experience is highly preferred
