Role: Oracle Data Integrator.
Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Duration: 3-4 months with possible extension.

A Fortune 100 manufacturing company is looking for an Oracle ODI (Oracle Data Integrator) expert. Alcoa is an Oracle ERP shop. They are trying to prepare for the day when Oracle will no longer be supporting the Hyperion HAL ETL tool. This is scheduled to happen in June 2010.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
Ø rewriting roughly 12 interfaces in Oracle ODI that were originally written in Hyperion HAL.
Ø Teach the current Alcoa team the ins and outs of Oracle ODI and how to support the tool after go live.
Ø Create test plans for end user testing scheduled to occur in January.
Ø Consult on installation of Oracle ODI as it pertains to a Windows and Unix environment.
Required skills:
Ø To be qualified for this position you must possess at least 1-2 years of experience with Oracle ODI.
Ø Must have experience rewriting interfaces in Oracle ODI.
Ø Ideally would have experience rewriting interfaces that were originally written in HAL (Hyperion Application Link) and converting to Oracle ODI.
Ø Experience with HAL is preferred but not required.
Ø Must have very good communication skills.
Ø Must be able to teach Oracle ODI and how to support the tool going forward.
Ø Client is looking for a strong developer leaning toward an architect.
Experience installing Oracle ODI would be a plus.
